중학교 시절, 이시모리 우카는 '돌'이라는 별명으로 불렸습니다. 자신을 바꾸기 위해 그녀는 학생들의 자유로운 분위기로 유명한 하치미츠 고등학교에 입학합니다. 같은 반 옆자리에 앉은 사람은 레몬색 머리카락을 가진 쿨하고 자유분방한 소년, 미우라 카이였습니다. 사실 우카는 중학교 때 카이를 한 번 만난 적이 있었고, 그가 건넨 단 한 마디의 말 때문에 하치미츠 고등학교에 진학하기로 결심했습니다. 우카에게 인기 많은 카이는 멀게만 느껴지는 존재였지만, 왠지 모르게 카이는 그녀를 챙겨주기 시작합니다.
